The following are the required qualifications for different disciplines:

Graduate Disciplines

• Electrical Engineering: Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering: Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Computer Science & Engineering: Degree in Computer Science & Engineering/IT

• Mining Engineering: Degree in Mining Engineering

Diploma Courses

• Back Office Management (Finance & Accounting): Diploma in related fields like Business Management or Financial Accounting

• Mining Engineering: Diploma in Mining/Mining and Mine Surveying

• Mechanical Engineering: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Electrical Engineering: Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Civil Engineering: Diploma in Civil Engineering

Trade Apprentices (ITI)

• Electrician: Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade

• Fitter: Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade

• Welder: Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Welder Trade

• Turner: Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Turner Trade

• Machinist: Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Machinist Trade

• Electrician (Auto): Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in Electrician (Auto) Trade

Age Criteria: Candidates must be between 18 to 26 years old as of 01/03/2025. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD candidates (10-15 years).

IREL Recruitment 2025 Qualification Requirements

To apply for the IREL Apprentice positions, candidates must meet the following educational criteria:

• Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must have a degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.

• Technician Apprentice: A Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the respective trade is required.

• Trade Apprentice: Candidates should possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institution.

In addition to educational qualifications, candidates must meet the age criteria set by IREL, typically ranging from 18 to 25 years with relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed Matriculation (10th pass) or its equivalent from a recognized board.

• For skilled trades (e.g., Cook, Cobbler, Tailor, Barber, Washer-man, etc.), ITI-trained candidates will be given preference.

• For unskilled trades such as Sweeper, only a Matriculation certificate is required.

Age Limit

• Applicants must be between 18 to 23 years as of 01/08/2025.

• Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

  • SC/ST: Up to 5 years

  • OBC: Up to 3 years

  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service rendered.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Here are the required qualifications for some of the key roles:

1. Scientific Assistant – B

   • Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) with at least 60% marks or B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry with 60% marks.

2. Technician – C (X-Ray Technician)

   • HSC in Science with 60% marks + 1-year X-ray technician diploma with 2 years of experience.

3. Nurse – A

   • HSC + 3-year Nursing diploma or B.Sc. (Nursing) with a valid Nursing Council registration.

Educational Qualifications

Graduate Apprentices

• Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from a recognized university.

• Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the State or Central Government.

Diploma (Technician) Apprentices

• Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from a recognized State Council/University.

Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices

• Full-time degree in BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, or BCA from a recognized university.

Note: General/EWS candidates require at least 50% marks, while SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD candidates need at least 45% marks.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

Candidates must fulfill the following educational criteria:

• Degree Required: Full-time 4-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree.

• Minimum Marks Required:

  • General/OBC: 60%

  • SC/ST: 55%

• Year of Passing: Only candidates who completed their B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 2022 or later are eligible.

• University Recognition: Degree must be from a UGC-recognized university/institution.

Educational Qualification

Not Accepted: Degrees in Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Toxicology, Geochemistry, Pharmacology, Food Technology, etc

Available Posts & Educational Qualifications

1. Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical)

• Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Experience: Minimum of four years in mechanical system installation and commissioning in shipyards, engineering companies, or government establishments.

• Desirable Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office.

2. Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical)

• Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Experience: Minimum of four years in electrical system installation and commissioning.

• Desirable Skills: Experience in PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, power management, AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office.

3. Junior Technical Assistant (IT)

• Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering/Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Experience: Four years of experience in IT systems, network support, ERP systems, and troubleshooting.

• Desirable Skills: SAP experience.

4. Assistant

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Applications with at least 60% marks.

• Experience: Four years in office work, ERP updating, data entry, and report generation.

• Desirable Skills: SAP, Tally, MS Office, Excel proficiency.
